As part of a newly-established exchange program with the National Gallery of Art in Washington DC, the Norton Simon Museum will present Vermeer's A Lady Writing (c. 1665). The painting is one of only 35 attributed to the Dutch master and will be displayed alongside the museum's collection of Rembrandt portraits and 17th-century Dutch genre paintings.

Paul Getty Museum, two magnificent Frans Hals portraits, Lucas de Clercq and Feyna van Steenkiste, will be on view at the Getty Center for a 2-year period. The portraits, owned by the city of Amsterdam and on loan to the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam since 1891, came to the Getty as part of the conservation partnership program.
